Vibration Collection

The "Vibration" collection is an innovative endeavor that draws its inspiration from the sensory experiences of a techno party. This collection emerged from an encounter where the metal sheets of a DJ booth began to vibrate, sparking a creative vision for the designs.

Vibrations are things we can observe or feel. Even though they are not physical objects, we can detect them through their effects, like energy causing light, heat, or movement. We can sense vibrations through touch or other means.

Throughout the process, I became more observant of the rave and techno scene, developing new textile techniques and silhouettes with my team. We strive to balance tradition and innovation in our work. We focused on relaxed silhouettes and lace elements, creating a new technique called "web calado" for our modern barong. Additionally, we collaborated with Jer.dee, an artist and DJ deeply immersed in the rave and techno scene. He illustrated different cities in the Philippines that host rave and techno parties, such as La Union, Poblacion Makati, and Escolta.

We focused on the various energies and personalities I observed at rave parties. It's an intriguing scene full of art and talent.
